Pain and Injury

The prevalence of chronic pain, which is described as “ most’ days of the week is over 20% of adults in the US. Over my many years of practice, I have seen many patients wait months and years to get their chronic pain treated. Sometimes people wait so long, surgery is suggested as an option. Pain is our bodies way of letting us know that something is out of balance. It often falls under the category of muscle imbalance, muscle weakness, skeletal and postural alignment issues as well as chronic overuse. These are all issues that can be treated and generally treated very easily within the first few months of the onset of pain.

If you are one of those people who have procrastinated and have had pain for years, I have good news for you! Our bodies are incredibly resilient. If given the right skilled interventions with Myofascial release and Acupuncture, it is possible to become pain free. I have seen this over and over again in my practice with some clients with chronic pain for 20 years or more having significant decrease in pain levels and able to return to activities they never thought they would be able to try again. My best advice is to get pain treated early, but the worst thing to do is never get it treated at all. You can improve! You are worthy of a pain free life.
